Wissenschaftliche Schwerpunkte

  1. Mechanismen der Atherosklerose unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von Monozyten/Macrophagen: Ein Schwerpunkt liegt hier auf komplexen, bereits deutlich fortgeschrittenen Läsionen und deren Stabilität, bzw. medikamentösen Interventionen.
  2. Restenose und Neointima: Unter diesem Schwerpunkt werden Mechanismen der Entwicklung der Neointima, bzw. deren Inhibierung untersucht.
  3. Oncostatin M (OSM): In diesem Projekt untersuchen wir den Effekt des Zytokins Oncostatin M in Atherosklerose und Restenose, insbesondere Zellproliferation.
