Julia Lohmann



Doctoral Student

Julia Lohmann is a PhD student with a background in social psychology and human resource management, and training and experience in mixed methods and implementation research in low- and middle income countries. Her research interest is in understanding how health systems interventions such as performance-based financing affect health workers as people, focusing on issues of working conditions, motivation, and satisfaction, as well as on how these factors shape clinical and non-clinical behavior in the workplace. Julia has previously worked for the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in the areas of M&E and HIV in Malawi and at GIZ headquarters in Bonn.
