Focus of research and training

Diagnosis and treatment of neglected tropical / infectious diseases, in particular cystic and alveolar echinococcosis, Buruli ulcer, epidemic bacterial meningitis and dengue fever. Cooperation with partner institutions in sub-Saharan Africa, SE Asia and Latin America. The principle approach is multidisciplinary with the aim of translating research findings into clinical practice.
