In the research focus area of Medical Information Systems and Data Models, we develop and evaluate the IMI-EDC Electronic Data Capture system, which is specifically designed for collecting PROMs. Access to structured metadata following the FAIR principles is provided by the Medical Data Models (MDM) Portal.

Current Doctoral Research Topic: Patient Trajectories with High-Frequency PROMs
A patient's quality of life should be the primary objective of both medical research and clinical treatment. Currently available clinical information systems primarily provide data on survival rates and complications. The core question of this research is: How can we precisely capture the progression of symptoms and quality of life within information systems to better evaluate the impact of new diagnostic and therapeutic procedures?
