Focus of research and training

Diagnosis and treatment of neglected tropical / infectious diseases, in particular, cystic and alveolar echinococcosis, Buruli ulcer, epidemic bacterial meningitis, dengue fever and snake bite envenoming. Cooperation with partner institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa, SE Asia and Latin America. The principle approach is multidisciplinary with the aim of translating research findings into clinical practice.
