How to Apply
From submitting your application online to receiving and accepting an offer, you'll find everything you need to know about admission to the Master of Science in International Health here.
All applications should be submitted online. Paper-based applications and application documents sent by E-Mail will not be accepted.
The application portal is currently being updated. Further information on the DAAD EPOS scholarship application and the MScIH application process will be announced soon.

Entry requirements
A successful applicant for admission to the Master of Science in International Health will hold a four-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification, at least 240 ECTS) in a Public Health relevant discipline (medical degrees and others). Prospective students are also expected to have at least one year of relevant work experience, including Public Health experience in low- and middle-income settings. Admission to the course is restricted. Please consult the Admission Regulations for further details.
English Language Requirements
Before entering the MScIH programme, prospective students must demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency level of B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
If you have taken an English language test and would like to compare your result with other examinations, please check the corresponding CEFR level of your test.
Only original score reports from authorised test centres are accepted!
The English language requirements may also be satisfied by successful completion of tertiary studies, or equivalent qualification, if the language of instruction and assessment was English. Applicants with previous study in English need to provide academic transcripts and an official letter from the institution to certify that English was the sole or principal language of instruction.
Tuition Fees
Full-Time
EUR 14,100
Tuition for 1 year including fees for the Core course, Short Courses, Thesis, and Oral Exam.
Part-Time
EUR 7,863 + Short Course Fees
Tuition includes fees for the Core Course, Thesis, and Oral Exam. The Short Courses are paid separately with approx. EUR 1,000 for a two-week advanced module at Heidelberg University (average total cost for advanced modules approx. EUR 6,000). Different fees apply within the tropEd network.
Heidelberg University additionally charges an administration fee and a student services contribution for each semester. Tuition fees do not include accommodation and other personal living expenses.
