Ambulances

For patients with tumor diseases of the liver, the LCCH offers an extensive patient-focused supply with diagnosis, care and follow-up treatment. The hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and the cholangiocellular carcinoma (CC) of the liver’s bile ducts are treated.

For patients with supposed liver tumors, assured HCC or bile duct tumor findings as well as patients within the follow-up treatment the first contact point is the interdisciplinary tumor ambulance. The interdisciplinary consultation hours for patients take place at the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT, Im Neuenheimer Feld 460). These consultation hours are the central place to go for all patients with liver tumors. This is the starting point for coordination of the whole therapy. A group of interdisciplinary experts within the tumorboards draw up an individual therapy plan. Twice a week, the LCCH holds hepatobiliary tumorboards.
