Visitors

Visits are important for the recovery of patients and therefore visitors are always welcome in our clinic!

Visits are welcome and important for the recovery of patients. In order to ensure a smooth daily routine, visiting hours in the clinics are generally from 8 am to 8 pm.

Please understand that there may be deviations from the general visiting hours. Particularly in the intensive care, infection and psychiatric wards and in other areas where particularly vulnerable patients are treated, visits are only possible during certain visiting hours and by close relatives after consultation with the attending doctor and nursing staff. Intensive care and infection wards are also not accessible to children under the age of 14.

As a general rule, we ask all visitors to leave the patient rooms during ward rounds or nursing procedures and to show consideration for other patients during their visit.

For reasons of hygiene, potted plants may not be placed in the rooms. Cut flowers, however, are permitted. In certain wards with immunocompromised patients, e.g. intensive care units, flowers and plants are generally not permitted.

Mobile phones may be used in normal wards, corridors and waiting areas. As mobile phones can cause interference with medical equipment, we ask visitors to switch off their mobile phones completely in the operating theatre area, the recovery rooms of the intensive care unit and the functional areas and outpatient treatment rooms.

There are a number of accommodation options for patients and relatives in hotels, guesthouses and private providers in Heidelberg and the surrounding area. These websites, for example, provide an overview of what is on offer:
