Pathway-based stratification via mulitplex-assays at melanoma and breast cancer

Abstract:
By means of the luminex platform, using beads, it is possible for the first time to quantitatively measure multiple proteins simultaneously within smallest amounts of samples. Since the samples are available in standardized microtiter plates and the measuring rate is very high qualitative multiplex data can be generated from a large patient population. In the context of the project a software platform is being developed which uses the information of signaling pathways to automatically deduce better clinical predictors from individual patient-mulitplex-data.
