Abstract:
An optimal preparation of histological sections is the basis for their subsequent automatic staining and microscopy. In this part of the TIGA platform which is sponsored by Thermo Fisher, the technical foundations for the automation of tissue processing, embedding techniques are researched and applied. Native tissue or organotypic tissue cultures are frozen or paraffin embedded. The suitability of various protocols, newly developed reagents as well as histological devices are tested.
