Section in the Medical Clinic for Gastroenterology, Infectiology and Poisoning
In our Infectious Diseases Section, we manage complex cases in close cooperation with our colleagues and the nursing team of Medical Clinic IV.
Our focus is on infections caused by hard-to-treat pathogens and infections in immunocompromised patients. This includes co-infections with HIV/AIDS, extrapulmonary tuberculosis, systemic fungal infections, malaria, and other severe infectious diseases, as well as infections with multidrug-resistant pathogens.
For inpatients outside the Infectious Diseases Section, we provide consultation services. Outpatients can access our general infection clinic or specialized ambulances at our department or Medical Clinic IV, including those for tuberculosis, echinococcosis, viral hepatitis, and post-COVID care.
