Teaching
Dear medical students,
Our courses deal with the role of psychological and social factors in medicine. The main focus here is on
- biopsychosocial influences on health
- psychological development in the course of life
- doctor-patient interaction
- methodological principles of medical psychology/sociology.
This content is covered in various teaching formats (lectures, seminars, courses, elective tracks) and is presented in the lecture using a "drama family", i.e. standard patients who represent different age stages of psychological development in interaction with clinicians (see here).
The overview of the current courses (lectures, seminars, courses, workshops) can be viewed directly under moodle here (prior registration required). Furthermore, many scripts and documents for presentations for our courses are available there. From the 1st semester you have the opportunity to take part in the pre-clinical elective "Scientific Foundations of Medical Practice and Research", and from the 2nd semester in the course "AaLplus". From the 5th semester onwards, the elective track "Psychosocial Medicine" is open to you.
Enjoy your studies and good luck!
