Section Social Neuroscience

Welcome to the homepage of the Section Social Neuroscience. We are investigating the Decision Neuroscience of Human Interactions with the goal to address the following broad questions: How do humans make decisions to interact with each other? How do they learn about each other? What are the computational and neural processes of such decision-making and learning processes? How do these processes differ in individuals suffering from psychiatric disorders and how can we develop new diagnostic tools and therapeutic interventions?

The planned projects combine computational modeling of behavioral data, model-based and multivariate analyses of fMRI data, pupillometry, evolutionary game theory, virtual reality, etc. We are strongly committed to open science (i.e., to sharing data/code and to pre-registering our studies).

The group is funded by an Emmy-Noether research grant to Christoph Korn.
