Call for Abstracts
Information systems are an important foundation for excellent patient care and research in medicine. Digital medicine can only be successfully implemented if excellent information systems are available. After the very successful Symposium 2025 , we would like to promote scientific exchange in Europe and Germany on this topic and therefore cordially invite you to the 4th Heidelberg Spring Symposium on Medical Informatics. As in the previous year, a prize will be awarded for the best presentation.
Due to the great progress and medical relevance in this area, we explicitly invite you to submit contributions on the impact of medical information systems on patient outcomes. Specific topics of interest for the symposium:
- Patient Trajectories: How to improve patient outcomes?
- Clinical Decision Support (CDS): How to bring the state-of-the-art of medicine to all patients?
- Clinical Research Informatics (CRI): How to do practice changing research?
- Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs): Role in Electronic Health Records (EHRs)
- Data Integration Centers (DICs): Contributions to Clinical Studies
- Regulatory Challenges: Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Interoperability: Designing semantically enriched data models
