Claudia Beiersmann is an anthropologist. As a member of the working group “Disease Control in Disadvantaged Populations” she worked on malaria and malnutrition in children and has experience in the application of qualitative and quantitative research methods. She also worked for Doctors without Borders on disease outbreaks in Africa. As a member of the working group “Global Health Policies and Systems” she worked on the right to health and universal health coverage in the post-2015 development agenda. Additionally, she is interested in the topic of migration and health and is involved in a collaboration with partners in Zambia and Malawi focussing on non-communicable diseases.
