
Prof. Hans-Michael Steffen
Professor of Internal Medicine, M.D.
Since 1992 I have been teaching as lecturer in General Internal Medicine, Gastro-enterology and Cardiovascular Prevention. Following the official retirement, I still hold the position of a visiting professor at the Clinic for Gastroenterology and Hepatology, University Hospital of Cologne. As member of the German charity organization “Friends of Lighthouse” I have participated since 2013 in teaching and training courses of medical staff at the Lighthouse Clinic in Lilongwe, Malawi. Since 2017 I have given lectures to students, nurses and clinicians at the Chreso University, Lusaka, Zambia. During the Covid-19 epidemic from 2020 to 2022 I have been involved in consulting services and engaged as physician for the local health authority at the center of vaccination and lately Ukrainian refugees of the City of Wuppertal.
