Don Claudio Umesh
Claudio is a medical doctor who completed his medical degree in Belarus and earned his Master’s in International Health from Heidelberg University. As a medical doctor, he shifted his research focus towards maternal and child nutrition. He has been involved in policy and stakeholder analysis of infant and young child feeding programs in Sri Lanka.
After completing his Master's degree, he joined HIGH in 2021 and made significant contributions to two working groups within HIGH. In 2024, he joined the working group on Global Child Health. His research interests cover multiple areas, including public health nutrition, maternal and child nutrition, child health, and the impact of climate change.
