Sandra Ziegler

Sandra Ziegler is a social and cultural scientist, who studied Interdisciplinary Anthropology in Freiburg, where her main area of interest was interdisciplinary and interprofessional teaching, learning and cooperation. She has experiences in several professional fields, e.g. she worked with handicapped people, children with behavioral problems and refugees.

Currently she is working in a research project, which is funded by the Ministry of Science and Arts Baden-Württemberg (MWK), with Claudia Beiersmann//Kayvan Bozorgmehr and Prof. Albrecht Jahn on “Migration & Health”. The team wants to foster teaching and research activities regarding that topic at the University and Clinic and build up lasting networks of researchers and practitioners who are involved in studying interrelations of Migration and Health.

As part of a working group around Dr. Kayvan Bozorgmehr at the Department of General Practice and Health Services Research she is also involved with qualitative and quantitative research on social determinants of health and the improvement of care processes for asylum seekers.
