
Dr. med. Philipp Jaehn, MSc
Scientist
Philipp Jaehn studied medicine at Heidelberg University and completed his doctoral thesis at the Institute of Global Health. After his medical studies, he completed the MSc Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. His field of study is social epidemiology, where he is particularly interested in health inequities from an intersectional perspective. Philipp has worked on cancer epidemiology among migrant populations, intersectionality-informed epidemiological methods, gender and health, and socioeconomic deprivation and health. Recently, he was coordinator of the BMBF-funded project AdvanceGender at Brandenburg Medical School. He has expertise in social theory, multilevel analyses, classification and regression trees, analysis of missing data and R programming.
