Olaf Müller, Prof, Dr, Med

Senior Scientist

Olaf Müller is a specialist in Global Health. His research and teaching focus is on principles and strategies of infectious disease control and disease eradication – such as malaria, HIV/AIDS and polio programs.

He has published more than 200 scientific articles, including in The New England Journal of Medicine, BMJ, The Lancet, Lancet Infectious Diseases, Lancet Global Health, and PLOS Medicine.

Projects & Grants

Olaf Müller has been the principal investigator and co-investigator on grants for large community-based studies from a number of science funders, such as the German Science Foundation, MRC The Gambia, the European Union, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the World Health Organization. He has also received research funding from the German Academic Exchange Service, from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Gesundheit and from industry.
