Aurélia Souares

Group leader

Aurélia Souares, MPH, Dr. P.H. has more than 15 years of experience in research on access to health care and drugs utilization in low-income countries (Sub-Saharan African and South East Asia), implementing and assessing the impact of interventions and innovations on behaviors and health outcomes, conducting mixed-methods research at health system and community levels. She has been employed as research associate at the Institute of Global Health, Heidelberg University since 2007. Her main research interests include access to health care in developing countries, adherence to treatment and methods to measure adherence, antimicrobial resistance. She has experience in survey design, development, implementation and analysis, as well as team management in intercultural context.
