Susanne Elisabeth Ziegler
Susanne Ziegler joined the Research Group in Health Economics and Health Financing as a PhD candidate in August 2018. Her research focuses on social health insurance in low and middle income countries, especially if enrolment in social health insurance improves people’s health seeking behaviour and their access to health care services.
She currently works for GIZ in India where she is involved in reform processes of PM-JAY, the world’s largest completely government funded health insurance scheme. She also worked for GIZ in Bonn, Germany, and for the European Commission (EuropeAid) in Brussels, Belgium.
