Dr. med. Tim Groteclaes, MPH
Regular Team Member
Tim is a medical doctor specializing in child and adolescent health. He holds a Master of Public Health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with a concentration in humanitarian health.
Drawing from clinical and public health experience in Germany and international settings, Tim’s research interests include maternal and child healthcare access, pediatric infectious diseases, and the intersection of climate change, migration, and health. He has contributed to projects exploring the nexus of climate change, health, migration, and conflict, as well as conducting spatiotemporal analyses of inequities in maternal and child health services in Afghanistan.
In addition, Tim is actively involved in humanitarian initiatives. He has served as a medical crew member on a German search and rescue vessel in the Mediterranean and works with a WHO emergency medical team (EMT Type 1).
