Diagnosis, immunpathogenesis and prognosis of Schilder's myelinoclastic diffuse sclerosis / Diagnose, Immunpathogenese und Prognose der myelinoklastischen diffusen Sklerose Schilder

Principal investigators / Projektleitung: Sven Jarius, Brigitte Wildemann

Schilder's myelinoclastic diffuse sclerosis (MDS) is an inflammatory disease of the central nervous system characterised by extensive demyelination. Our research focuses on the nosological and diagnostic differentiation of myelinoclastic diffuse sclerosis from conventional multiple sclerosis (MS) as well as on the immunopathophysiology, therapy and prognosis of MDS.
