4th Summer School in Medical Physics 2022
Radiobiology and Radiobiological Modeling for Radiotherapy

This summer school is a hybrid event and is split into an online phase and a hybrid phase (attendance phase or Live Online Phase). Participants can decide to attend the course 100% virtually or online and on-site in Heidelberg. During the Online Phase, the biological background, biological modelling and the dose-volume effects will be introduced. The attendance phase or Live Online Phase will deepen the knowledge on high-LET radiation and hypoxia and the impact of oxygen. Furthermore, devices for small animal imaging and irradiation as well as special techniques such as FLASH and Mini Beam Radiotherapy will be discussed.
The summer school is dedicated to students on different levels (BSc, MSc or PhD) as well as young Post-Docs. Participation is free of charge. More information on our website: www.dkfz.de/summer_school2022
