SENIOR RESEARCHER
Kavita Singh is a trained epidemiologist, and health systems researcher with expertise in clinical trials, implementation science, and economic evaluation. Her research focuses on the intersection of chronic non-communicable diseases, infectious diseases, implementation research and social health protection in low- and middle-income countries. She specializes in the design and impact evaluation of health system interventions aimed at bridging the evidence to practice gaps. Kavita employs a wide range of research methods, including experimental and quasi-experimental designs, as well as qualitative approaches, often integrated into mixed-methods studies that are closely aligned with real-world global health practice. In 2019, Kavita was awarded the Emerging Global Leader Award, a career development grant from the Fogarty International Centre, National Institutes of Health, USA, to develop and test the feasibility and impact of a multicomponent intervention for cardiovascular disease prevention in India.
In addition to her role at HIGH, Kavita is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, Atlanta, USA.
